Five top performing girls in the 2023 Malawi School Certificate of Education have received awards in the Zodiak best girl awards initiative.
As an organisation that believes in girl child empowerment for future financial wellbeing, United Civil Servants SACCO sponsored this year’s event.
Speaking during the awards presentation at Mary Mount Secondary School in Mzuzu, Marketing Supervisor for United Civil Servants SACCO Alepher Kasongo said among other things, the organisation has given each girl the sum of MK 100,000 as a token of appreciation for the extraordinary performance.
“We believe that investing in girls education would lay a great foundation for the girls to become economically independent.” said Kasongo

The five top performing stars are from Mary Mount Secondary School, Providence Secondary School, Maranatha Private Academy and Lilongwe Girls Secondary School.
