An Interaction with Central region Journalists

In its drive to enhance financial wellness among media Practitioners, United Civil Servants SACCO drilled some central region Journalists on financial management.

Speaking during a media engagement in Lilongwe, chief executive officer for United Civil Servants SACCO Francis Waliwa said journalists have the potential to contribute to the country’s social economic transformation both as individuals and professionals hence the need to be trained on savings, debt management,budgeting and planning for retirement among others.

“There is need to deal away with a perception that one needs to have a lot of money before they start saving. All you need is to plan and always budget before spending.” said Waliwa

One of the journalists who attended the training Lydia Banda commended United Civil Servants SACCO for instilling the journalists with a life changing knowledge.

Before interacting with central region Journalists, United Civil Servants SACCO has been conducting similar financial management training to journalists in the North and Southern regions.
