UNITED CIVIL SERVANTS SACCO RESPONDS TO THE CALL BY MANGOCHI POLICE

Following a call by Mangochi Police management to United Civil Servants SACCO, the institution has positively responded as they donate a waiting shelter worthy K5 million to the station to help improve service delivery to the citizenry.

Chief Executive Officer for the SACCO Francis Waliwa said they were satisfied with the services of Police in Mangochi hence promptly honoring the request to construct the waiting shelter.

He commended the police’s visibility in the area saying this has enhanced security in the area including their premises.

“This is our way of giving back to the community, as a financial institution we don’t need crime to be around so this donation is a token of appreciation to their work,” Walima said.

Chairperson for Mangochi District Council Mr. Hassan Chikuta who was the guest of honor for the event applauded Civil Servants SACCO for the gesture.

“Much as they are benefitting a lot in terms of their business, the institution has demonstrated love ana commitment to its clients,” Chikuta said.

Making his remarks, Officer in-charge for Mangochi Police Station Mr. Morgan Dzozi Assistant Commissioner of Police thanked the institution for the donation describing it as timely.

However, the officer in-charge cited challenges of mobility and other structures hence pleaded to other organizations to emulate what UCSS has done.
